Reviews and Ratings
Staying at the Perfect Moment Cottage was a mixed experience. The rooms, though cozy with a single queen bed and clean sheets, were not as clean as expected, lacking the romantic touch. The service, especially on a Saturday, was inconsistent, with some helpful gestures but also reminders needed for ADA parking. The location was a highlight, offering easy access to downtown, restaurants, shopping, and a beautiful lake walk, although cleanliness could be improved in common areas. While the dining options were below average, the golden malted waffles were a pleasant surprise.
The hotel had a cabin-like feel to it with a little knotty pine in the rooms and two comfortable chairs, but cleanliness could be improved. The lack of sufficient lighting and stuffiness due to minimal natural light were drawbacks, despite available open rooms. Service was accommodating and responsive to needs, but disturbances like lack of AC and unaddressed noisy guests impacted the stay. The location was excellent for access to shops and restaurants, but some issues like a lingering vinegar smell in the bathroom and inconsistent common area maintenance were noted. The dining experience was basic, with scope for improvement in variety and service, though homemade rolls were a highlight.
Upon arrival, the room was very dark and freezing cold, but it turned out to be cute and comfortable with great water pressure in the shower. The service was nice and helpful overall, although it left much to be desired in some aspects. The location was perfect, allowing easy access to shops and restaurants. The dining experience was very adequate and included in the booking, but could have been more expansive. Despite some negatives, the Ridgeway Inn offers a cozy cabin feel in a convenient downtown Blowing Rock location.
